About

Welcome to the blog. The Dog-eared Blog is going to delve into the writers I need for my sanity in this time of climate emergency—so that’s the experts in various fields who are searching for answers, and also the writers of fiction, poetry and thought from across the ages who have who have stayed resilient and open to change.

I want to build up a store of positive energy for practical change and hope it may be useful to other readers too.

The person behind the blog. My name is Sarah. In a previous existence, I co-edited a literary journal for twenty years, publishing fiction, poetry and essays from emerging writers alongside new work by already established names. Before that, I was writing my PhD on Wordsworth, Hardy and Conrad, and teaching extra mural literature classes.

Stepping Stones

Wendell Berry

There is a blessing in this gentle breeze.
